American Doctor Traviling to the UK Named in Charlie Gard Case!

The American doctor who is traveling to the UK next week to treat critically-ill baby Charlie Gard has been named as Dr. Michio Hirano. According to ITN/ITV News, Mr. Judge Franicis who has been leading the UK High Courts hearing over the 11-month-old Charlie’s future Saturday (July 15th, 2017) “lifted an order which had previously barred UK media from identifying doctors involved in the case.” Mr. Justice Francis originally banned journalists from naming Dr. Hirano and where he was located shortly after Charlie’s case began earlier this year. But after some journalists said that naming him (Dr. Hirano) would be in the publics best interest and after Dr. Hirano gave his permission to be identified, Justice Francis then relented.
