A new photo was released on Monday, June 12th by Connie Yates the mother of Charlie Gard. The photo above shows Charlie with his eyes open as Connie continues her fight to keep him alive. Connie Yates posted the new image on Facebook after the High Court heard Charlie was “not consistently able to open his eyes enough to be able to see”. Connie told ITN/ITV News; “A picture speaks a thousand words.”

The couple wants to take Charlie who suffers from a rare genetic condition and has brain damage, to the United States for treatment.
This news comes as last Friday the family lost their appeal to the UK Supreme Court, this exhausted there legal options in the UK.
